Strategically placed layers of unidirectional carbon tape in the hybrid construction help deliver a well-balanced dynamic flex. Designed to ride overpowered with ease and control, yet still enabling early planing and low-end performance. The harmony between medium rocker, progressive outline and flex makes this the ultimate all-terrain board to take you to the next level, in all conditions. Edge harder and release into Earth's atmosphere. For 2024 all North TwinTips feature the new FlipTech Mounting System, with centreline inserts for added rail longevity.

Hybrid basalt construction

 We’ve orientated the e-glass and unidirectional basalt tapes in the laminate layup to optimise the loading of the individual fibres, resulting in a unique construction method with superior performance.

 Made from natural molten volcanic rocks, basalt fibre provides a lightweight structural reinforcement that is stronger and more responsive than e-glass. The basalt UD tapes contribute to a board’s lively feel and lower weight, delivering more pop without adding an unnecessary amount of stiffness.

Hybrid carbon construction

 Strategically placed layers of unidirectional carbon tape reinforce the E-glass laminate in high load areas. This layup is sandwiched with a Paulownia wood core to deliver a well-balanced, more forgiving flex so you can ride for longer, with flow and form.

 The flex characteristic of every TwinTip Board is determined by multiple features built into each specific design. Core thickness variations and taper, as well as detailing, longitudinally and laterally, play the most significant role in controlling the overall flex and feel. Board specific laminate layups then allow us to further fine tune the flex and board characteristics. We adjust the stiffness lengthwise and torsionally in conjunction with the rocker line, plan shape view and profile of the board, to give each board its specific performance characteristics.

Lightweight, impact resistant paulownia wood core

 Paulownia is a highly renewable hardwood species, with one of the highest strength to weight ratios.

 Ultra lightweight, with a high shear force and high impact resistance, Paulownia wood forms a non-toxic core which significantly displaces the amount of foam or resin used in manufacturing, thereby reducing carbon emissions. Each board has a customised core thickness individually fine-tuned to ensure its characteristics are consistent throughout the range, no matter your size or weight.

Stainless M6 standardised hardware

 Standardised SS316 M6x16mm hardware across all twin tip boards and accessories enables the use of the same PH3 screwdriver for assembly and makes replacement of parts super easy.

Ergonomic handle

 Lightweight and ergonomic TPE material with ultimate grip when wet.

 

40mm Fins included

 Strong, abrasion resistant composite fins with dogbone washers and M6x16mm standardised screws.

 

FlipTech Mounting

 For 2024, all of the North TwinTip boards our new FlipTech Mounting System, with centreline inserts.

 This means if you wear out one side of your board, simply flip the bindings around and you've got a shiny new heelside rail again. We recommend pairing your Atmos with the new Flex or Flex Pro bindings, which provide soft cushioning with just the right amount of grip underfoot. The new anatomically-shaped heel cup supports and stabilizes the foot upon landing, giving your heel the correct orthopaedic position and preventing slipping.Pure-comfort seamless KnitFlex inners and triple-density footbeds are combined with customised size and stance adjustments for a locked-in feel.
